Giving this song it's own little spot. It's sung by Liz Gallahger, tack piano played in my bedroom on Ridgemont St by Bobby Brandon. It's a love song to Katherine Hepburn, kinda reminiscent of Dear Mr. Gable when Judy did it, but was in this case written for an as yet incomplete musical (MOOSUP) that Peter Barrett + I were working on way back in the early 70's. Pete, sadly, died of AIDS in San Francisco in the late 80's. He'd gone there to start a band with his three brothers called NO SISTERS. He was one of the finest most inspired/ing artist + friend I've ever known. He only had to raise his ironic eyebrows to shake me up. Really miss him a lot. Anyhow this is a wonderful, rare performance by Liz (very Fanny Brice) + Bobby. I tried to get a copy to Hepburn years ago, but it got sent back. Apparently one can sue the recipient of such a gift if ever it is plagerized. Something like that. Again, like most of these pre 90's tunes, this comes from a chewed to pieces cassette.
If ya want a full burn of this tune email
Rick (Hit the Boot)
Dear Kate
